Brampton Island AirportBrampton Island has its own airport but does not have flight from any of the major airline companies that service the airport. All flights come into either Hamilton Island or Mackay Airport from where you will be transferred by some means of travel to Brampton Island. Brampton Island Airport can receive light aircrafts, chartered flights and helicopters as it does on a regular basis which is one form of transportation to the island that many visitors decide to take as it is the quickest way to start your holiday. Or you can fly into Mackay with Jetstar, Qantas or Virgin Blue and ride on a shuttle bus to the Mackay Marina where a courtesy cruise boat will be waiting for to take you over the Coral Sea to Brampton Island. The boat trip usually takes approximately one and quarter hours to travel. Flights into the Hamilton Island airport from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane arrive daily which can be met by a number of transfer options as well. From the airport you can board a seaplane, chartered flight, or helicopter to whisk you over to Brampton Island or one of the staff members will be there to greet you with a smile and guide you to your waiting ferry boat. With Brampton Island being so accessible and attractive with its luxury accommodation, live entertainment, fine dining experiences and attractions not to mention its own airport, why would you want to holiday anywhere else. Brampton Island Airport is a drop off point for many visitors so they can quickly and easily begin their getaway from it all. |
